Roasting a perfect turkey doesn’t have to be difficult.  If I can make turkey, that everyone loves without ever tasting turkey in my life, because I’m a vegetarian, You can do it, too!  Just follow the recipe carefully and if you’re brave enough try adding some additional seasonings you and your family likes.  Garlic, onion powder, thyme, etc. would all be great additions.  Enjoy!

Instructions
  1. Preheat oven to 325F. Place turkey, breast up on a rack in roasting pan. Let sit half an hour. Mix butter, liquid smoke, and Johnny's Seasoning Salt together in a small bowl. Brush half of the butter mixture onto the turkey. Put in oven for 2 hours. Open oven door and quickly brush the remaining butter mixture evenly over the turkey. Return to oven and continue to roast until done 1-3 hours depending on the size of turkey. Let rest half and hour before carving. Enjoy!

8-12 lb. - 2 3/4-3 hours

12-14 lb. - 3-3 3/4 hours

14-18 lb. - 3 3/4-4 1/4 hours

18-12 lb. - 4 1/4-4 1/2 hours

20-24 lb. - 4 1/2-5 hours
